This past Saturday, March 12, I ran a Trail 5K in the morning at the US National Whitewater Center. It was awesome! I think it is the first event I've done since the stupid marathon. And I found out today that I placed 3rd in my age group. It wasn't a huge event but I still feel good about placing. I guess I should stick to 5Ks. Again...no marathon for me again! Anyway, that afternoon I took the kids back to the USNWC to see the water. They died it green for St. Patty's Day! It was great. The kids got a kick out of the green water and they wanted to hike in the woods. They hiked, watched the rafters, climbed
some big rocks and tried to pet every dog at the Center. (This is a picture taken while hiking. The kids were sporting thier new St. Patty's shirts from Aunt Shelly & Uncle Greg. ) We had a great day! I think we're going to venture to the St. Patrick's Day Parade this Saturday too. I'm hoping to pass down my love for this holiday. Erin Go Bragh!
